Warranty Claim Process
1.If, during the warranty period, you discover a quality/defect issue and wish to request warranty repair or normal after-sales service, you must notify Indevolt immediately after discovering the defect by email to support.eu@indevolt.com (a complete list of all available contact details can be found on the Indevolt website’s contact page) and submit the following information:
(i) a brief description of the defect;
(ii) the product serial number (SN);
(iii) the order number and proof of purchase.
2.After receiving your notification, Indevolt will conduct issue analysis and troubleshooting within its reasonable capacity. If troubleshooting cannot resolve the problem or the issue is beyond the scope of the limited warranty, an eligibility review will be conducted. The product serial number must be clearly readable and correctly affixed to the product in order for the warranty to be valid.
If we determine that the defect reported by you is not within the scope of the limited warranty, we will inform you and explain the reason for denial. If we determine that the reported defect is within the scope of the limited warranty, we will inform you and proceed with warranty after-sales service.
Unless one of the following situations occurs, Indevolt will not refund the purchase price:
(1) Indevolt is unable to provide a replacement product, and the repair is not economically viable or cannot be completed within a reasonable time;
(2) you agree to a partial refund, where the product is indeed defective and within the limits permitted by law.
3.When initiating the warranty process, Indevolt will decide whether the product needs to be returned. If Indevolt decides that a return is required, the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process will be initiated. Indevolt reserves the right to use new parts or refurbished parts for warranty repairs at its sole discretion. Whether new or refurbished parts are used, their functions must be identical to those of the corresponding original parts. If the original replacement part has been discontinued, comparable substitute parts may be used. Any replacement parts provided must have the same characteristics, functions, and compatibility as the original parts required for the customer’s defective product. The software version will use the standard version. If you refuse replacement with comparable substitute parts, no refund will be provided and no goods or services will be offered. After replacement, the warranty period for the repaired/replaced product will begin immediately at the expiration of the remaining warranty period of the original product.
4.If the RMA process is used or you ship the product yourself, Indevolt will inform you how to pack the product or part and where to send it. Indevolt will also ship the repaired or replaced product/parts back to the country/region where you are located. If, after the RMA has been issued, Indevolt does not receive the defective product or part within 60 days, Indevolt will issue an invoice to you at the then-current list price for the new product or new part, and you are responsible for paying the corresponding fees.
Without Indevolt’s prior written consent, you may not dismantle or modify the returned defective product.
5.Warranty shipping costs: For warranty services caused by product quality issues, Indevolt will cover the shipping costs both ways (outbound and return).
6.Product Replacement or Refund
If our assessment determines that the product defect is of such severity that repair is not feasible, we will arrange for a product replacement or issue a refund (prorated based on the duration of product usage). Indevolt will also bear all return and replacement shipping costs.
What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover cosmetic, technical, or design defects, nor defects that do not materially affect energy production or the shape, size, or functionality of the covered product. It also does not cover defects or parts requiring replacement due to normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust, or stains on the enclosure or finish.
The following are specific circumstances not covered by this warranty:
- Violation of Purchase Terms or Other Agreements: The buyer's breach of the product purchase terms and conditions or any other applicable agreement;
- Damage from Improper Use: Including misuse, accident, negligence, lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, etc.;
- Unauthorized Modification/Disassembly/Repair: Modifications, alterations, additions, or any unauthorized opening, alteration, or disassembly of the product without Indevolt's prior written approval;
- Failure to Follow Installation and Usage Instructions: Failure to strictly adhere to documentation/manuals/safety and operational requirements (e.g., improper environmental conditions, poor ventilation/cooling due to improper installation, etc.);
- Use of Non-Specified Accessories/Components/Software Interfaces: Damage caused by use of third-party components, accessories, interfaces, parts, or software not provided or approved by Indevolt;
- Combined Use with Non-Compliant Equipment/Materials: Use with unapproved equipment, items, or materials, or violation of local regulations and standards;
- Abnormal Environments or Uncontrollable Events: Natural disasters or other events beyond reasonable control (such as war, accidents, third-party actions, exposure to seawater, abnormal operating conditions, etc.);
- Damage During Transport or Handling: Damage occurring during transport arranged by the buyer (pickup), handling, or loading/unloading;
- Battery and Charging Non-Compliance: Issues arising from deep discharge, overcharging, or use of non-original/unauthorized charging accessories;
- Inability to Provide Valid Proof of Purchase: The buyer cannot provide or verify proof of purchase;
- Abnormal Serial Number/Label Information: The product serial number label has been removed, illegible, or tampered with, preventing verification.
Paid Repair Services for Uncovered Situations
- Products beyond the warranty period.
- Any situation not covered by the warranty repair services.
Paid Repair Quotation Standards
For repairs not covered under warranty, paid repair services are available. Reasonable repair fees will be charged according to the following categories:
- Parts Cost: The cost of the same spare part may vary depending on the repair stage or manufacturing cost. The repair center provides only module-level repairs, not electronic component-level repairs; therefore, cost estimates are based on the module level.
- Labor Cost: Direct and indirect labor costs required, which may vary based on labor market conditions.
- Shipping Cost: As determined by the actual cost of the buyer's shipment.
Disclaimer
Unless Indevolt expressly assumes additional warranties or obligations in writing, this clause supersedes and excludes all other express or implied warranties or conditions (including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). In certain jurisdictions, such exclusions may not be fully applicable.
1. Limitation of Liability
(i) To the extent permitted by law, Indevolt's total cumulative liability arising from any warranty claim, damages, or other liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by the buyer for the product in question.
(ii) To the extent permitted by law, Indevolt shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses arising from the product or its use, and shall in no event be liable to the buyer or any third party, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of equipment use, or downtime losses, as well as any incidental, consequential, or special damages, even if Indevolt has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
2. Limitations on Specific Uses
Indevolt's energy storage systems are not designed for use as life support equipment, primary or backup power sources for medical devices, or similar purposes. Indevolt assumes no liability for personal injury, death, or catastrophic property damage resulting from such improper use, and reserves the right to refuse service for such applications.
3. Regional Differences and Statutory Rights
The buyer acknowledges that the above limitations and exclusions of liability are material terms agreed upon by both parties. In some jurisdictions, the exclusion or limitation of liability and damages may be restricted or not permitted, and therefore may not apply to the buyer. The buyer may also have statutory rights under local law, and this warranty does not affect such rights.
