FAQ
How does PowerFlex 2000 work?
How does PowerFlex 2000 work?
Simply plug the PowerFlex 2000 into any household outlet. The energy produced by the solar modules is converted by an built-in micro-inverter in the system and can then be fed into the house grid to reduce household consumption. In addition, it can be charged via the power grid, existing photovoltaic systems, and balcony power plants.
Can I install the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant myself?
Can I install the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant myself?
Yes. The PowerFlex 2000 is a plug-and-play balcony power plant with a rated output of up to 800W and is designed for easy self-installation. Important: If you aim for a net energy production of more than 800W, we strongly recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified professional.
Can I use it in winter? What should be considered?
Can I use it in winter? What should be considered?
Yes, the device can be used in winter. It features a heating function that automatically activates when the device temperature falls below 0 °C. Important: At low temperatures, lithium battery activity decreases, causing faster discharge and higher power demand. Recommendation: In winter, always reserve a battery charge of at least 30% to 50%. In case of snowfall: Take extra care to maintain about 70% charge so the battery has enough reserve capacity.
Is the PowerFlex 2000 battery safe?
Is the PowerFlex 2000 battery safe?
Yes. Safety is a top priority in our system. Unlike conventional batteries, the system uses a semi-solid lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, which combines the advantages of solid and liquid electrolytes and thereby increases thermal stability at the material level.
Can the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant be used outdoors with storage?
Can the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant be used outdoors with storage?
Yes. The PowerFlex 2000 has an IP65 protection rating, making it dust-tight and protected against water jets from any angle, making it well suited for outdoor use. Note: Despite IP65 protection, you should not operate the device outdoors during heavy rain or in standing water. Recommendation: Install the device in a well-ventilated, stable location with secure mounting and comply with local installation requirements as well as the user manual.
Is the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant compatible with Shelly or EcoTrack power meters?
Is the PowerFlex 2000 balcony power plant compatible with Shelly or EcoTrack power meters?
Yes. The PowerFlex 2000 is fully compatible with Shelly and EcoTrack meters and can be integrated easily.
Can I power my household appliances via the Off-Grid outlet of the PowerFlex 2000 when it is connected to the house grid?
Can I power my household appliances via the Off-Grid outlet of the PowerFlex 2000 when it is connected to the house grid?
Yes. When the PowerFlex 2000 is connected to the house grid, the Off-Grid outlet can power devices up to a maximum of 3600W. Power components that exceed the continuous self-supplied power of 2400W will be automatically supplemented by the house grid. Note: For the PowerFlex 2000 to reliably provide 2400W, at least two expansion batteries are required.
What advantages can the CycBoost technology bring to my balcony power plant with storage?
What advantages can the CycBoost technology bring to my balcony power plant with storage?
The most obvious advantage is that it completely prevents the battery pack from being held back by the weakest battery. For example, in traditional scenarios with mixed usage of old and new batteries, the old battery limits the performance of the new battery, preventing the full efficiency of the entire pack. This industry problem is precisely solved by our CycBoost technology.
Is the PowerFlex 2000 battery durable?
Is the PowerFlex 2000 battery durable?
The PowerFlex 2000 battery is especially durable. Even with 100% depth of discharge, the battery retains 70% of its initial capacity after 8000 cycles. This is thanks to the use of semi-solid-state battery technology and large-capacity cells, which extend the life of the pack.
What is the maximum output power of the SolidFlex 2000 for home use when grid-free?
What is the maximum output power of the SolidFlex 2000 for home use when grid-free?
When the device is connected to the grid, the grid-independent port can provide up to 2400W. In grid-free operation or during a power outage, the maximum power is 1000W. With an SFA1800 expansion battery, the power rises to 2000W, and with two battery packs, up to 2400W is possible.
Can the indevolt storage system be used without an Internet connection?
Can the indevolt storage system be used without an Internet connection?
Yes, the PowerFlex 2000 can respond quickly and perform local control in an environment without Internet connectivity. It enables intelligent control and precise management so your household appliances maintain an optimal power balance and reduce unnecessary losses.
How can I ensure the security and stability of my data?
How can I ensure the security and stability of my data?
The PowerFlex 2000 features local control, where data is stored exclusively on the local hardware. Even in the event of network interruptions or third-party service outages, the system can continue to operate stably. Therefore you do not need to worry about data breaches or system stability.
Does the PowerFlex 2000 support the installation of two independent systems operated together? How can I assess whether my home is suitable for a multisystem solution?
Does the PowerFlex 2000 support the installation of two independent systems operated together? How can I assess whether my home is suitable for a multisystem solution?
Yes, the PowerFlex 2000 supports operation of two system units in a cooperative mode and can support up to three systems. If your energy demand is high, you want to further reduce dependence on the grid, or you aim for significant savings from a scaled configuration, installing multiple systems is an ideal choice.
How much power can the PowerFlex 2000 provide for my home? Which devices can be powered?
How much power can the PowerFlex 2000 provide for my home? Which devices can be powered?
The PowerFlex 2000 complies with German regulations for photovoltaic systems and can be installed by users themselves. It offers 800W of power for your home. Please note: If you want to obtain 2400W grid-connected power, this must be done by a licensed electrician, and an installation plan must be submitted to the local grid operator. In off-grid operation, it can output 2400W, covering most mid- to low-power devices.
Is it normal for the state of charge (SOC) of the battery packs to vary significantly?
Is it normal for the state of charge (SOC) of the battery packs to vary significantly?
This is normal and does not affect your user experience. In practice, a rest-charge deviation of up to about 10% between cells is reasonable thanks to the battery optimizer. This ensures that each cell charges and discharges independently, so their performances do not affect one another. Why traditional batteries tend to show smaller SOC differences: they rely on parallel equal distribution, which creates circulating currents and energy waste and can be affected by bottlenecks. Our solution addresses exactly this problem.
